24.6.26 - Official reboot of Camster restoration. Thrumster re-engaging with landscape restoration. Shared the above map - specifically 2,3,4. Audrey to approach RWE for funding.
23.6.26 - Reconnection with Alys Fowler - a self-professed bog lover and well-known gardener. Great publicity for the project. Coming to Forsinard in September.
Shah family asked Fergus to liaise with us. Lead time for harvesting - 18 months. PD expressed seed rain concerns; delighted that replanting will be Scots Pine.
18.6.26 - Reboot of restoration. Tilhill – continuing seed rain and strategies to minimise costly effects. Discussions of bog to be scrub cleared.
1. cleared with government grant. CPR legally required to clear it at CPR’S cost. Ongoing with PD managing
2. has not been cleared yet. Boundary vague and not much scrub to clear
3. a and b are uncleared fall within the windfarm Habitat Management Plan.
4. E Peatbanks in HMP and relatively clear; will become a problem if 5 is not addressed, leads to discussion with Tilhill.
5. W Peatbanks are too severe for Peatland Action to sponsor as there is no guarantee that it will remain good..
16/6/26 - Found a new hire to pull trees and remove "SS".
10/6/26 - Contacted Roxane Andersen to discuss re-engagement with restoration.
29.11.19 - PD contacts Gearóid Murphy. Covid…
